On our first day in Istanbul, we toured the most important monuments of the city. We started with the basilica of Hagia Sophia, where we profit one of the impressive doors to take the photos of the look. From there ,we visited Sultan Ahmed, known as the Blue Mosque, which, although it wasn’t as blue as expected, is spectacularly beautiful. This mosque was the base of all my outfit, as for respect and beliefs, we had to be covered to enter on the Mosque, I decided to wear my palazzo pants, thanks God that they are fresh, because it was so hot that day, and this kimono, rescued from my grandmother’s closet.

As it couldn’t be otherwise, we stopped to eat a Doner Kebab on one of the millions restaurants areas that the city has, each of them more crowded, more authentic and more beautiful. Of course after this, we went to the Grand Bazaar (Kapala Carsi), a place to get lost (you get really lost, even if you don’t want to, haha, it’s that huge that becomes inevitable…!), full of traders that always guess your nationality and tell you an endless number of words that have learned in your language.

We didn’t want to miss the Istanbul’s night, and although the nightclub to which we went was a little empty, we had a great time and met lovely people, one of the things that I love from this country, the people (although if to talk with some of them we had to do it through google translator, very very funny haha).

Durante nuestro primer día en Estambul recorrimos los monumentos más importantes de la ciudad. Empezamos con la  basílica de Santa Sofía donde aprovechamos para hacer las fotos del look sobre uno de los impresionantes portones. De ahí visitamos Sultán Ahmed, conocida como la mezquita Azul, que, aunque no era tan azul como esperaba, es espectacularmente bonita. Esta mezquita fue la base de todo mi outfit, como por respeto e ideologías, tenía que ir cubierta, decidí ponerme mis palazzo blancos, que con el calor que hizo, se agradecía lo fresquitos que son y este kimono rescatada del armario de mi abuela que ya os he enseñado en alguna ocasión.

Como no podía ser de otra manera paramos a comer un Doner Kebab en una de las millones de zonas de restaurantes que tiene la ciudad, cada una más llena, más auténtica y más bonita. Por supuesto después de reponer fuerzas nos dirigimos al Gran Bazar (Kapali Carsi), un sitio donde perderse (¡quieras o no, porque de lo grande que es, se hace inevitable…!), lleno de comerciantes que si o si adivinan tu nacionalidad y te sueltan un sin fin de palabras que han aprendido.

No queríamos perdernos la noche de Estambul y aunque la discoteca a la que fuimos estaba un poco vacía, nos lo pasamos genial y conocimos a gente encantadora, una de las cosas con las que me quedo de este país, la gente (aunque para comunicarnos con alguno de ellos lo tuviéramos que hacer a través del traductor de google, muy muy divertido jaja).
