SINGAPORE DAY 1

Finally I show you the pictures of my trip to Singapore, (of course not all of them, otherwise we will stay here forever haha :)) so… let’s get started with my diary! If something characterize Singapore, is the cultural mix that they have. In a moment you are in one of the most modern areas of the world, with endless skyscrapers, infinity pools in attics of the buildings and, an suddenly you are in an Arab mosque and a hindu Temple in the heart of Chinatown… this mix is exactly what made me fall in love with Singapore…

The first day was very intense, we waledk all the way. We beain with the famous district of China Town, with its thousands shops, temples and people. I recommend you that, apart from visiting the typical temples (Sri Mariamman Temple, Temple Buddha Tooth…), to visit a more quite area, far from the turist and the chaos, the Thian Hock Keng Temple, although it is not as nice as the others, the peace and all the vegetation that surrounds it, made me enjoyed it much more.

From there we went to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, where, of course, we took millions photos and enjoy the wonderful views from the observation deck and, without a doubt, the best pool in the world that makes you feel that you are having a bath of skyscrapers haha. It’s really worth going there and see the building from all points of the city and the entire city from all points of the building… 😉

From here we continue along all the Merlion Park, as the Chinese year had just begun, it was plenty of street food markets, attractions, and people, many many people… When we realized it was about to get dark and we had forgotten even to eat!! omg…So we sat on the terrace of the Starbucks (without doubt the best point of all the ride) and from there we saw the spectacle of lights of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, the truth is, that was the only thing I was disappointed of the trip, they could do it much more nice with the resources that have, but, to enjoy all the buildings illuminated at night from that point was amazing…

To finish the day, (and almost dragging) we arrived to the area of Clarke Quay, just amazing! , I wish we had an area like this in Madrid hehe, million restaurants with live music, bars & shops all along the bay. ESSENTIAL to end the day in that area, to have dinner or a drink, we forgot quickly how tired we were… Traveling to Singapore? Don’t miss the 100 best things to do in Singapore!

About the look, I choose a comfortable and fresh outfit to hold humidity and the heat of Singapore. Of course, with my indispensable complement for traveling: a backpack and sunglasses, in this case from Freyrs, which give a cool touch to the look.

Que ganas de enseñaros todas las fotos de mi viaje a Singapur, (bueno todas todas no, que no acabaríamos jamás jeje, pero si gran parte 🙂 ) así que… ¡empezamos con mi diario!Si por algo se caracteriza Singapur, es por su mezcla cultural. De pronto estás en una de las zonas más modernas del mundo, con rascacielos infinitos, piscinas en los áticos y jardines artificiales que se iluminan, como te encuentras con mezquitas árabes y un templo hindú en el corazón del barrio chino… esta mezcla es precisamente la que me ha enamorado…

El primer día fue muy intenso, recorrimos a pie la mitad de Singapur. Empezamos por el famoso barrio de China Town, con sus miles de tiendas, templos y gente que inunda las calles. Como recomendación os diría que a parte de visitar los templos típicos (Templo Sri Mariamman, Templo Buddha Tooth…), fueseis a la zona del Templo Thian Hock Keng, lejos de todos los turistas, aunque no es tan bonito como los otros, la paz inunda todo el templo y toda la vegetación que le rodea hizo que lo disfrutáramos mucho más.

De ahí fuimos al Hotel Marina Bay Sands, donde hicimos millones de fotos y disfrutamos de sus maravillosas vistas desde el mirador y de, sin duda, la mejor piscina del mundo que hace que sientas que estas dándote un baño de rascacielos. Realmente merece la pena ir allí y ver el edificio desde todos los puntos de la ciudad y toda la ciudad desde todos los puntos del edificio…

Desde ahí continuamos recorriendo todo el Parque de Merlion, como el año chino acababa de empezar, estaba todo plagado de puestos de comida, atracciones, y gente, mucha gente… Cuando nos quisimos dar cuenta ¡estaba anocheciendo y se nos había olvidado hasta comer! Así que nos sentamos en la terraza del Starbucks (sin duda el mejor punto de todo el paseo) y desde ahí vimos el espectáculo de luces del Hotel Marina Bay Sands, la verdad, lo único que me ha decepcionado del viaje, le podrían sacar mucho más partido con los recursos que tienen, pero disfrutar de todos los edificios iluminados de noche desde ese punto fue increíble…

Para terminar el día, (y casi arrastrándonos de cansancio) llegamos a la zona de Clarke Quay, una maravilla, ojalá hubiera una zona así en Madrid jeje, millones de restaurantes cada cual más apetecible, con música en directo, bares de copas. IMPRESCINDIBLE acabar el día en esa zona, cenando o tomando una copa, se nos olvidó rápidamente lo cansadas que estábamos…

Respecto al look, cómodo y fresco para aguantar la humedad y el calor de Singapur. Como no, con mi complemento indispensable de los viajes: una mochila jeje y unas gafas de sol, en este caso de Freyrs, que le dan un toque cañero al look.
